This week’s Accidentally Vegan feature is…the Chocolate Chocolate Chip Bar from NuGo Nutrition! Have you even been stuck at an airport and hungry but couldn’t find anything vegan to eat? These vegan snack bars are chocolatey, chewy, and extremely filling. I originally discovered these super yummy NuGo Nutrition bars at the Pittsburgh airport, and then happily realized they are widely distributed in grocery stores, health food stores, and lucky for me, airports across the country.
Thanks Charise for adding Sublime and sharing this restaurant review with the Yummy Plants community!
“This beautiful restaurant certainly lives up to it’s name! On a recent trip to Florida we were looking for an upscale Vegan gem to celebrate our Valentines evening… we found Sublime. From the cozy yet modern decor, to the fabulous service, this place is tops!”
Del Posto is one of New Yorks finest italian restaurants. One would assume that the menu would be a vegan’s nightmare, especially because the menu has the choice of chefs tasting or the 5 course meal, however that isn’t the case. Chef Mario Betali has created an entire vegan chefs tasting menu that is absolutely [...]
This week’s Accidentally Vegan feature is….Veggie Pot Pie by Amy’s Organics! Do you remember the old veggie pot pies? Can you just taste the flaky crust, the creamy center and smell the super yummy aroma as it cooked in the oven? Well, Amy’s Organics has created a dairy-free vegetable pot pie just for us!
This week’s Accidentally Vegan feature is….Fratelli Mantova Artichoke Paste! I discovered this super creamy vegan spread while appetizer shopping for a party. It’s imported from Italy and is a yummy spread for breads. I fell in love with this product because: 1) it doesn’t contain any garlic and 2) it achieves a super creamy texture without any parmesan cheese.
As part of my New Year’s resolutions, I am trying to cook real food each night for dinner. But we all know that work/ life/ family stuff can get so crazy that it can be difficult to make time to cook. This mild chili mix from McCormick helps to make a quick and easy vegan meal. It is free from any animal products and is widely available. YUM!
This week’s Accidentally Vegan feature is…. Wolfgang Dark Chocolate Dipped Cranberries!!! As an added benefit besides the yum factor, World’s Healthiest Foods reports that cranberries are packed with anti-oxidants, help protect against UTIs, and have an anti-inflammatory effect on the body. I was glad to know about the health benefits of cranberries as I gobbled up these super yummy vegan cordials. Hope you enjoy them!
This week’s Accidentally Vegan feature is Rite-Aid’s “Simplify” Kettle Corn! Thanks to our friend Retta for sharing! This vegan kettle corn is just like you remember: fluffy popcorn with the perfect blend of salty and sweet caramel flavor. It was so super yummy that we triple checked the ingredients, and the sweet coating is really just made with vegetable oils and sugar. They’re not even using high fructose corn syrup – yay!!!
This little Chinese place has an awesome Kung Pao Tofu! Editor’s note: We can’t find any photos online for Jade Garden, but this vegan-friendly restaurant in Michigan has great reviews! If you have been there, we’d love to see photos of your favorite dishes. Thanks for suggesting it, Jen!
