Celebrate Berkeley Vegan Earth Day: 4/22/12
If you’re in the Bay Area, join in the festivities for Earth Day at U.C. Berkeley’s Wurster Hall on Sunday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The all-day extravaganza organized and presented by Karine Brighten Events, will feature films (Vegucated and The Cove), workshops, eco art, a scavenger hunt, and an exciting array of speakers including nutritional expert Dr. John McDougall, physician and environmentalist Dr. Michael Klaper, and Grassroots Campaign Director for In Defense of Animals environmentalist Hope Bohanec. Area businesses will be on-site with products to sample and buy. Non-profit groups will offer a wealth of information about their eco/vegan organizations.
Ten percent of all ticket sales will be donated to SaveJapanDolphins.org. Advance tickets for adults are $15, for students $10. Children under 12 are admitted free. Tickets at the door are $20. Purchase tickets online here: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/220330. For more information visit BerkeleyVeganEarthDay.com.
As a member of the Yummy Plants community, you can win two tickets to the event!
